Diode Lasers

The FBH conducts research and development in the fields of novel laser diodes and laser diode systems. The institute covers the whole value chain and offers a wide spectrum of laser diodes ranging from the visible to near infrared.

Further improving brightness, beam quality, the high efficiency and outstanding reliability of high-power laser diodes are main objectives of FBH’s research. The research includes fundamentally new approaches in design as well as continuous improvement of material components, based on our profound know-how in manufacturing tailor-made diode lasers.

Applications range from the pumping of solid-state lasers and direct material processing to display technology and optical communications.
