Frontend

Research and development activities in this field target transmitter and receiver MMICs in the frequency range from X-band to W-band (10…100 GHz). The circuits are realized primarily in SiGe-HBT and RF-CMOS technologies using external foundries (e.g. SiGe).

Particular topics are:

• Low-power receivers and transmitters in the 24 GHz range (including oscillators and frequency dividers, RF-CMOS), for sensor applications
• W-band radar frontend circuits (SiGe technology)
