Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Heinrich Reelected as President of the European Microwave Association

FBH news: 03.01.2012

With the beginning of 2012, Wolfgang Heinrich, FBH's long-term Head of Microwave Technology Department and a Professor at the Technische Universität Berlin, takes over the presidency of the European Microwave Association (EuMA) for another 3-year period. He has been elected in January 2010 for the first time and now been reelected unanimously.

EuMA has members from all over Europe and adjacent nations. It is considered to be one of the internationally most important associations for scientists and engineers within microwave technology. The non-profit organization which is based in Belgium, both encourages cooperation within the technology field and stimulates microwave activities in Europe by means of education and training. It organizes the yearly European Microwave Week which comprises three conferences and an exhibition - apart from the International Microwave Week in the United States, this event is the most important microwaves conference world-wide with about 1,500 conference participants and typically 4,500 visitors.
