Leibniz Technology Transfer Association Microelectronics
The Leibniz Technology Transfer Association Microelectronics bundles the research and development of several Leibniz institutes in micro and optoelectronics and microsystems technology, and initiates application-oriented cooperation with companies. In cooperation with the research institutes “Innovations for High Performance Microelectronics” in Frankfurt, Oder (IHP), “Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology” (INP) in Greifswald, “Paul Drude Institute for Solid State Electronics” (PDI) in Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin, the “Ferdinand-Braun-Institut” establishes the Transfer Association. A link to the Dresden Cluster of Microelectronics is assured by the research center “Forschungszentrum Dresden-Rossendorf” (FZD), “Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden” (IFW) and “Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden” (IPF).
The Technology Transfer Association enables the involved institutes
- to coordinate their research topics,
- to align research results to the needs of companies,
- to create a joint added value,
- to communicate research and development,
- to achieve a demand-orientated cooperation with companies and expand into new markets.
Thus, the Technology Transfer Association offers companies the possibility
- to achieve a quicker overview of the existing competencies of the institutes,
- to enable a more targeted contact to a suitable research institute,
- to cooperate demand-oriented with research institutes,
- to facilitate the expansion into markets which previously have been out of reach.
The Leibniz Technology Transfer Association is funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and accompanied by Projektträger Jülich.
