Diode Lasers
FBH can deliver development of custom-made laser diodes for specific requirements in various applications. The highly brilliant light sources are ideal sources to materials processing, measuring techniques, photodynamic therapy, medical diagnostics, nonlinear optics and sensor technology.
Our lasers show excellent performance: demonstrated by their high beam quality, small spectral line width and high output power. Wavelengths range is from 635 nm to 1120 nm. Extremely high-brightness laser diodes with complex structures can be manufactured, including lasers with integrated mode filters, wavelength tunable lasers, and lasers with wavelength-selective feedback. Fabrication is based on 2" and 3" GaAs process lines. The optical output power of single emitters range from about 100 mW for single frequency fundamental mode lasers up to more than 15 W for 200 µm stripe broad area devices. Moreover, laser bars (passively cooled up to 100 W) are realized.
FBH can deliver basic development services starting from simulation up to small-scale production. Detailed information on current projects and latest results can also be found in departments and business areas.
