Labs & Departments
The Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut fuer Hoechstfrequenztechnik is managed by Prof. Dr. Günther Tränkle. The institute organizes its R&D activities in three research areas: photonics, III-V electronics, and III-V technology. The forth research area integrated quantum technology is currently being established.
These focus areas are divided into labs and departments. The labs are dealing with specific device developments - ranging from basic research through to the final application - whereas the departments provide and advance the technical and scientific resources of the institute. FBH also created an active interface between science and industry with its Prototype Engineering Lab, enabling to transfer excellent research results even faster into market-oriented products, processes, and services.
